SDS Funding

TRiY Training Ltd deliver Skillseekers and Modern Apprenticeships on behalf of Skills Development Scotland. SDS is Scotland’s new skills body, and was formed by the merging of Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Scottish Enterprise, Careers Scotland and Scottish University for Industry. SDS provide support, advice, guidance and opportunity to employers, businesses, individuals and organisations.

Skillseekers is a training programme aimed at young people within industry or new to industry who wish to work towards nationally recognised qualifications or increase their skills base and experience. The Skillseekers programmes currently delivered by TRiY are within Hospitality & Catering and Business & Administration.

Modern Apprenticeships are training programmes for those within work who wish to achieve a nationally recognised qualification relevant to their job role and natural career progression. These are aimed at longer term employees, and junior to middle management. TRiY currently deliver MAs in the sectors of Business & Administration, Hospitality & Catering and Management.

SDS provide funding for individuals to undertake Skillseekers and Modern Apprenticeship route for some qualifications. Funding guidelines are subject to change, so for more information, contact us.

ILA Funding

ILA Accounts can be used towards payment of some of our courses. ILA Scotland is a simple way to access funding towards learning something new. Check out the latest eligibility on their website www.ilascotland.org.uk.

Currently a £10 minimum payment must be made by the learner. This may be changing in January 2009, when no minimum payment will apply.

• SQA ESOL Access 3, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2
• SQA IT Access 3, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2
